In traditional Chinese medicine, this formula is used to clear heat, detoxify, cool the blood, and reduce swelling. It is commonly applied for acne, pimples, facial redness, or recurrent pustules caused by internal heat and toxin accumulation with impaired blood circulation. Other accompanying symptoms may include mouth ulcers, sore throat, constipation, or dark urine. It is suitable for adolescents or individuals with excessive internal heat, oily skin, and recurrent acne. While clearing heat and cooling the blood, the inclusion of pearl powder helps to calm the mind and relieve irritability, thereby improving redness, swelling, and repeated pustules, and supporting the skin in regaining clarity. Selection tip: For acute outbreaks of acne with severe redness and pustules, Qing Re Cuo Chuang Wan (Puriface Form) may be considered.
