In traditional Chinese medicine, this formula is used to invigorate blood, dispel stasis, reduce swelling, relieve pain, and support the repair of muscles and bones. It is commonly applied for contusions, sprains, bruising with swelling, musculoskeletal pain, and restricted joint movement, often accompanied by blood stasis lumps, limited mobility, or worsening pain. It is suitable for individuals in the acute stage of injury caused by trauma, sports accidents, or overexertion, when blood stasis and musculoskeletal damage are present. This formula combines hemostasis, pain relief, and blood-invigorating actions, helping to alleviate pain and swelling after injury, accelerate the resolution of stasis, and promote tissue repair. Compared with Jin Gu Die Shang Wan (Jingle Form), it is more directed toward swelling reduction and pain relief in the acute stage of injury, while Jin Gu Die Shang Wan (Jingle Form) is mostly used for musculoskeletal nourishment during the recovery stage.
