This formula is traditionally used in Chinese medicine to clear heat and toxins, dispel wind and relieve itching, cool the blood, and nourish the skin. It combines herbs that address both internal heat-dampness and blood imbalance. In TCM theory, such skin issues are often caused by “wind-heat in the skin” or “blood-heat generating wind.” In modern medical terms, this corresponds to conditions such as eczema and neurodermatitis. Selection Tip: If the skin shows redness, heat, swelling, or slight oozing with clear inflammation, consider Pi Fu Bing Xue Du Wan (Skin Care Form) to clear heat, cool the blood, and reduce swelling. If itching is intense, worsens with warmth, and rashes recur, consider Xiao Feng San Wan (Lay Wind Form) to dispel wind, relieve itching, and clear dampness. If damp-heat has not fully resolved and flare-ups return in cycles, consider Qing Du Zhi Yang Wan (Calm Skin Form) for steadier control. If the condition has lasted a long time, the skin is easily irritated, and itching is more noticeable at night, consider Pi Min Xiao Wan (Skin Form) to support constitution adjustment and calm the skin. For external care, Blue Skin Multi-Purpose Dermocream or Fu De Kang Ruan Gao (Dermacura Cream) may be used to ease local redness and itching and support skin repair.
