In traditional Chinese medicine, this formula is used to dispel wind and dampness, tonify the liver and kidneys, and strengthen the tendons and bones. It is traditionally applied to relieve what TCM refers to as “wind-damp impediment with liver and kidney deficiency.” It is suitable for chronic joint pain, stiffness, weakness in the lower back and knees, difficulty in movement, and reduced physical strength. Commonly used by individuals with weak constitution, after prolonged illness, or in older age for long-term support.
